An Introduction and a Question

Hi, I was banded on 2/20/08. I have been lurking on the site since, but would like advice. I had my first fill on Monday morning. My doctor recommends a couple of days of liquids and a couple of days of mushies after a fill. I have done that but have had a very hard time getting even the mushies down. A couple of bites AT MOST! Is this normal? I also have the sliming every time I try to eat anything. Any advice would be great!

Thanks.

I have never been like that after a fill. I would give it a couple days, as long as you can keep some food and fluids down, and see if it relaxes a little. I am sure you could call your Dr as well and see what he says. good luck and keep us posted.

Hi:

My experience has been that if a fill is too much it only gets worse, not better. If you're sliming alot you're going to irritate things and you've only been banded about six weeks. I recommend a call to your doctor to make sure that you're not harming your tummy or your band.

Good luck.

Thanks for all the advice. I called my doctor on Friday morning and she made me come in right away for an unfill. She took out 1cc and I felt much better. Although I did lose 5lbs in one week, but she said I would probably gain it back since it was water!!!! Ugh...

Thanks for the support.
