Considering Lap Band

Aloha,

I currently live in Kailua Kona Hawaii and I am interested in having the lap band procedure done. I don't know where to start. I need some guidance if there is anyone out there that has had this procedure done in kona, please assist. I am having so many health problems.:confused2:

I don't live in Hawaii but I can say that I got started by calling 1-877-lap-band or 1-877-527-2263. Hopefully that will work for you? They sent me a packet explaining what to do. The packet had surgeons in and around my area that I could choose from. I looked them up one by one and decided on a Dr. Once I did that I called the office and they guided me on what to do. To start I had to attend a seminar. At this seminar they explained both Gastric Bypass and the Lap Band procedures in detail and then met with you one by one. I want the lapband. My next step is a psych evaluation which I have set up. They too gave me that number. This is of course my situation and my insurance so your experience may differ. I had already talked with my insurance company and I already know they will pay for it but its just following the rules before hand that I have to do. GOOD LUCK.

Dr. Paul Cirangle of San Fransisco Laprascopic associates comes to Hawaii( I think to Oahu and Maui) monthly. Google their web site to find out more about it. He is my surgeon and is one of the best.
