Surgery in less than 1 week!

My doctor is at TruResults in Scottsdale, AZ. I am so out of touch with this forum stuff...no facebook, no chatrooms, etc. As computer savvy as I thought I was, I can hardly navigate this place! I am scheduled for my banding on Thursday, 3/27. I have already been through terror, mourning the loss of food, high excitement, and recently, worry as the routine cardiological consult resulted (for the first time ever) in a high blood pressure reading. Now I have to get a stress test and some other tests on Monday before clearance.

I am trying to remain positive about the huge cost as well. Even though my insurance might cover it, I thought that in 8 months I could well be at 400 pounds or something, and I can't take these yo-yo cycles anymore! I would like to lose the weight and actually not gain it back plus more. Here's hoping!

Hi! We sound similar - I was a self-pay and did it because I didn't want to wait and see if insurance "might" cover me. Everything was fantastic (I was banded about 3 weeks ago) and I am so happy with my decision. I've been blogging everything and you can check it out via the link below in my signature.

Hi Froglady!

I am being banded tomorrow, so I know what you speak about! I love the support groups on this forum. I'd like to suggest that you come over to the March, 2008 forum and check it out. There is a thread called "master thread" that has tons of information. There are several folks who have gone through the process and have written about it. There are people in every phase there. Come join our group!
