sweet 16

Okay, one more question - weighed 305 at time of surgery and according to my scale at home I am now 289 - I've gotten on there like a dozen times so are my eyes deceiving me or did I really lose 16lbs in 5 days? And is this normal?

Yes, it is quite normal. I lost 14 lbs in the first 5 days myself. Its from being on the liquids and shocking you system IMO. Good luck and don't cheat. You will get great results.

Ok, now let's get this straight. You had surgery to lose weight and want to know if it's normal to lose weight???? YES! Great isn't it to see the scale go down?

You're normal, enjoy it. at some point you won;t be losing so fast and you be back on here asking why you lost so fast before and now the scales have slowed way down. It's all normal! Happens to most of us.

Weight loss is amazingly quick for me as well. PreOP on 3/3/08, I weighed in at 333.3, on Band Day, 3/18/08, I was 309.5 and this morning, 3/23/09, I'm 299.2! If scale is right, I'n down 34 lbs in 30 days! Happy Easter. ... and finally, I think the gas is subsiding!
