My New Journey

Hi Everyone,

My name is Ruth and I just got banded on March 6th. I went through JourneyLite in Houston and my doctor is Dr. Richard Collier. Overall, things are going very well. Of course, I have the normal surgery pain and food adjustments but I couldn't be more happy that I did this. I've lost 7 pounds already (post surgery)! :biggrin2:

I'm really glad I found this forum. There are lots of great topics and great information.

Looking forward to my new life!

Congrats! I was just banded on the 4th of March and am doing very well. I started a blog (Lise The Loser’s Weblog) to document every step of the process! How are you doing with the liquid and mushy stages? Are you still having any port pain? Best of luck with EVERYTHING - I know you will do fabulously!

Thanks Lise! Each day gets a bit better. After one week I really don't have much pain or swelling. I am healing very well. If I do have pain, it is around the port but that gets better each day.

The constant hunger is finally going away too! That has been a tough transition. I still get food cravings but that is to be expected.

Ruth
