Hi Jeanie,I went to high school in Mt. Vernon and Marysville and also lived in Everett for awhile in the early eighties.I can't say I miss the rain though.

Hi, I was born and bred in Philadelphia. I really miss cheese steaks. I've lived in Florida for 30 years though so I'm almost a native. Our temp ranges can easily go from freezing to 80 in the same day. We've been in the 80's and 90's for the past week but a low of 35 is expected this week.

Hey tapshoes, welcome! I will forever be indebted to a Canadian for turning me on to hockey! =)

tripod, I love your Bender avatar!

I finally got brave enough to poke my head in here and look for a fellow West Virginian or Kentuckian and you guys are talking about football again. There's no escape. =)

Just had my surgery Feb 25, 2008, in Ypsilanti, Michigan. I have my stats below. I went from 411 lbs to 380 lbs in the first 2 weeks. But I started to eat regular foods. I learned what sliming was, but I also learned HOW to eat. I learned to CHEW, Chew, chew, and I could eat almost anything. This upset my Nutritionist , but my Dr. seemed OK with my progress. Now since all the swelling has gone down I can eat almost anything again, we even go out to eat off the menu. I go in this Thur. for my 1st band fill. I really hope it helps me to restrict my food intake and help me feel full. I am at the same weight I was 4 weeks ago, 378 lbs. I am having a hard time with staying on eating a small amount 4 times a day.

I am glad I found this site and look forward to encouragement from what I read here.

Thanks tripod! My goal is to someday have hair that is bigger than my head.:smile2:

Welcome Bill Bailey! Good luck with your new fill. It sounds like you are doing great so far!

MinPinMom,

Right now I'm really close by. My daughter and family live in Spring.

The great thing about having people in Texas (besides the fact that I love it here) is knowing what the weather will be in Florida 2 days later.

I live in Gainesville and summer is starting with a vengance.

I'm born and raised in Alabama. I can agree with Mommy2 about the weather. Our weather here is like that of Florida. I have my heat on first thing in the morning and my air conditioner on by afternoon. But I love it. Sweet Home Alabama!
