How did you celebrate???

It is officially my band anniversary today- and it feels better than any birthday I have ever had!!!! A year flies by when losing weight huh? Usually at this time I am dreading the spring because I cant hide under my layers in the heat! NOT THIS YEAR!

I have lost over eighty pounds and amazingly fit into a size 6! I never thought it would be possible, and I still look at my pants and think “I will never fit those over my thighs” heheh. But they do! It’s funny that I look at my new clothes and think they aren’t mine. I guess my eyes and brain take longer to change then my body!

But more importantly for today—any suggestions on a good way to celebrate? I met my goal at 165lbs so now all this is icing on the cake so I want to do something special for myself (besides getting ice cream or something destructive!).

What did you do when you hit your goal or had a big band anniversary????

What about doing something for you? It their something you always wanted to do, but could not do because of your weight? Challenge yourself and celebrate yourself this is such a wonderful accomplishment to achieve I am so excited for you. Think of something special just for you!

I celebrated my 3rd Bandaversary on the 22nd of February this year.

I woke up, smiled, quietly congratulated myself, and went about my day knowing that I am healthier, fitter, and happier than I was 3 years ago.

DH took me out to dinner that night, but it was actually more a belated Valentines Day dinner.

Hey, congrats!!!!!

My bandaversary is in June...haven't even thought about celebrating..yet. It is a good idea.

Happy band day!

I celebrate every single day, I smile at my image in the mirror and put on my size 10s.

And only 2 years out, I find something else in my closet to let go of.

A banded friend of mine gave me a bottle of wine called Santa Paula. She has been my mentor. She lives far away but the next time I see her, we will share that bottle of wine in celebration.

Cheers

Congrats on your success and your bandiversary!

I don't know if I will celebrate my bandiversary per say as much as I plan to celebrate when I reach goal. (Along with small rewards along the way). Ultimately (depends on finances at the time) I would like to go to Las Vegas or something to celebrate my goal. I do plan at some point to reward myself with a new tattoo as well.

Yep, I'm with Ange, I'm getting a tattoo when I get to goal, or for my 30th birthday this year, which ever comes first (come on goal!).

I didn't really celebrate my bandiversary at all though.
