10cc band or a 9.75

my friend and I were just banded. we both got different bands, are the same and 3 pounds weight difference.

does any body know why the 2 sizes, same dr.

I was told by my Surgeon that he used a 10cc band on me. He said this is a little bigger than the norm, but had to use it because he had trouble closing the smaller size and getting it positioned properly. According to him, some peoples physical make up requires a bigger band and not due to ones size. He made it sound as it sound as though the locking mechanism would not work at the smaller size.
