Self pay...advice?

I have started the process on this lap band journey and have realized that if I want to do this it will have to be self pay. Any one have any suggestions? Anyone with some creative solutions?:)

    I had to go self-pay as well because my employer excludes weight loss surgery. We chose to pay for it by refinancing our home. It only added a bit onto our monthly payment and was very much worth it to us.
