Weight Loss post op

What kind of weight loss is everyone experiencing? I heard that it is about 1-2 lbs per week. That seems rather slow. Do anyone have suggestions on how to increase the weight and how long did it take ya'll to start to see some results. Congrats to everyone for getting the band and God Bless:biggrin:

1 to 2 lbs is what my surgeon said to expect. Remember, it's not supposed to be fast. That being said, I do think it can come off a little faster, depending on your determination. I've lost a total of 66 pounds in about 21 weeks, that averages out to about 3 pounds per week. I think you'll find that once you are banded, you probably won't lose consistantly every week. I go through spurts, I may not lose for a few weeks........then BAM! I've lost 5 pounds. It's strange.

I've been losing about 10 lb per month. I haven't updated my ticker for a couple weeks because we have been RVing in Georgia and I don't have a scale, but I can tell from my clothes that I have lost a few since we left Feb. 6.

Remember, 2 lb per week translates to over 100 lb per year. That is a pretty healthy rate of weight loss. I'm certainly not looking for anything faster.
