Optifast Post-op

I was thinking about this today. Because I have to do optifast pre-op, I was wondering if anyones stayed on optifast post-op as their liquid phase after surgery.

I'll ask the Dr when I go in next week but if anyone has done this, I'd be grateful for info.

I believe most surgeons put you on CLEAR LIQUIDS versus FULL LIQUIDS (eg optifast and other protein shakes) post-op. You will find the medical reasons for this conservative approach with a Quick Search.

But I've heard pretty much everything in here. A few eat whole food a day after surgery (not saying their doctor prescribed that, of course).

:scared2:

I was banded yesterday Feb 11 2008. Same day did clear liquids. Today was to start full liquids for 5 days , then start soft diet.I read so much about this before being banded and my doc id totally different.
