Is this normal??

My mom had lap band surgery on 1/29. She has not gotten out of bed or had any liquids since. My dad said she feels warm... and I told him to take her temperature right away!! Is all of this normal or should she be feeling a little better by now?? I am also scheduled for surgery and just want to be sure I am aware of any abnormalities. Should I be worried???

Hi Sunshine...I'm new to this site. I had surgery on 1/30 and I keep thinking I must be a big baby because I'm still in pain! Everyone I talked to before surgery told me how they barely had pain. I have major burning around my main incision in the middle, did you have that?

Gas-X and a heating pad both help....as well as WALKING. This is one of those times when you HAVE to get up and move around and HAVE to drink. The result of NOT doing that is that you will spiral downhill fast, feeling queasy, weak, shakey, as your electrolytes get out of whack. No moving around will cause the gas to not be able to loosen.
