Question about Erosion

There is a gentleman in my support group meeting here in Houston that has done very well with his band. He's lost 130+ pounds. Recently he found out that his band had eroded. He's not even 2 years post op and already eroded? Is that way too early?

There isn't really a time minimum or maximum for erosions. Erosions take some (unknown) amount of time to happen, but how quickly would depend on a lot of circumstances. I've heard of several erosions with the first 12 months, so under 2 yrs doesn't seem unthinkable to me.
