I agree Terry---all day long I have thought of it off and on, that what if you cannot make it....it is not something my mind accepts---let alone the heart. I KNOW your Mom is #1 priority---and I am very worried about her health as well, but it is just too sad to contemplate you not being there......makes me wanna go pout in the corner!

Thanks guys, ya'll are so sweet! I would cry for days if I couldn't go...and I don't cry often.

All I can tell you at this point is that she seems fine! Well, at least no worse than she has been the last 2-3 weeks! The last time she was in the hospital I thought she would never make it out and she seems better now than she did then. My point is that I am amazed at what the doctors can do with tweaking her medication and getting her stronger again, so I am very hopeful. She's just so dang sick.... advanced COPD, congestive heart failure, and light pneumonia but with no fever. She's alert, relatively cheerful, color is good, strength is pretty good, oxygenation is good, BP is good. Amazing. I feel confident she'll be discharged...but her situation is sooooo delicate, it can change any minute.

So anyway, that's the update. Thanks so much for your prayers. I love having you girls to talk to. It helps so much.

I saw your name and was afraid to open the thread, but thankfully it was better news. We'll continue to pray that she holds her own and that you'll be able to be with us in a few days. It just wouldn't be an official gathering without YOU!!

Terry - It won't be the same without you! I was sad reading all the post then saw the last one...

Terri-it really is amazing what happens when drs make the slightest medication adjustment. I hope that she continues to get better & stronger every day. Let me know if I can do anything!

Hey I just sat down to program all the numbers into my phone, and I cannot get the travel doc to open---any idea why? I have our list from Christmas-----but not sure yet who all is or is not listed with a cell #.

Okay, I am going to pack all my stuff in my car on Wednesday so that I don't forget anything. Terry, do you know if the grocery list is finalized? Has everyone made all their requests??

Extra beach towels, extra sunscreen, extra bathroom toiletries to share... those are on my list... Anyone need me to bring anything else in order for you to make room in your bag?

Haydee~ Odd request...could you bring a pair (or is it set) of tweezers? I don't want my nice expensive ones confiscated...but I know I need to know that a pair is near by. You are too young, but I am Italian, and from time to time a whisker pops up on my chin...can't have that. If it is too weird a request...laugh at me and tell me "hell no"!
