Pre Surgery ???'s- Need Info

Hi Everyone - I am scheduled for my surgery on 1/30/08 and I have some questions. I want to know what is a should I have with me for the initial two weeks after surgery to make the time go easier. I am a complete chicken when it comes to pain, so I already have my prescription for pain medication.

Also, I am wondering about liquid Vitams and Liquid Tylenol. Are these items available for over the counter purchase or by prescription only? Thanks

Congrats on your surgery date..that is great....I would have liquid gas-x with me at the surgery center or hospital...I took it right after surgery and it was great...it really does help with the pain from the gas...also, walk, walk, walk, ...the sooner you start walking, the sooner the gas pains will ease...you will be uncomfortable for a few days, or at least I was, but nothing unbearable...and take your pain medication that the doctor prescribes for you...that is why they give it to you...I have seen where people didn't want to take any pain medication..I don't want to be strung out on drugs, but I didn't want to be in pain, either.....hang in there and good luck to you...
