I was given Keflex to take 5 days after my surgery - well, my husband forgot to refrigerate it after day two - so I never finished it. (I was afraid it would not be good anymore) I kind of forgot about it, and it is day 6 and I am still in alot of pain - I wonder if its because I didn't finish antibiotics - I have my post-op later today, so I will ask my doc - just wondering if everyone was given antibiotics, or if anyone has had to deal with any type of infection??:smile:

I was given antibiotics in the hospital 2 rounds of them, but none to take at home. I was banded 2 days before you. I feel great and have no pain...other than that nagging shoulder pain every once in a while. i saw the doc yesterday and he said it would go away soon. do you have pain meds?

I never got any antibiotics. Just some pain meds :cool:

i was banded 01-07-08, and i still ahve pain...and i took my antibiotics for 5 days just as directed....but still pain :mad:...not horrible though...if you dont have any other signs of infection you should be fine....but it wouldn't hurt to tell your dr. what happened, after all it is hubby's fault

I was banded on Jan 11 08 and they gave me one round of antibiotics in the hospital and that was all. I feel really good and it is only day 4..
