New to this

HI All I am new to this area, after I have been doing some reseach into Lap band. I have a appointment booked on 7th march to see Dr Keiarth in perth. It seems to long to wait. I need to know if any one can give more info on the surgery. How long will I be off work for, I do property management and only really sit at a desk all day and some driving around.

Also how many times will the band need to be filled before it starts working. Also does it hurts when it gets filled up?

Any help would be great.

thanks JOrolleyes.gif

Hi Jo,

This site is a great place to start with your research. Spend some time reading through the message board - pretty much every question you have will have a thread somewhere. There is a thread just for Aussies. You can also search the threads for the questions you have.

Everyone here is very supportive and helpful. I am being banded on Tues in Sydney. March is a very long time to wait just for an appointment. Do you have a GP referral? I got in to see my surgeon within 2 days of me calling and a surgery date pretty quickly.

Good luck with your journey,

Jen
