Confused....

:help:I am going for my consultation on the 21st and am so ready to do this! When I get banded, it is not filled at that time, correct? I am just getting used to it, I assume? My concern is being hungry, which I thought you didn't get w/ the band - or only after your fill? I am just concerned that when I go through this, I won't be able to stand being so hungry. That is my problem now, I get so shakey when I get hungry, that I just eat. What will change with the band? :)

Hi there. Typically the band is not filled during surgery. Most surgeons make you wait about 6 weeks before they start giving you fills. Initially after surgery you may not be hungry. The hunger however may return. Fills do help with the hunger. Typically it takes 3-5 fills to get to your sweet spot. Good luck.

My 10 cc band was filled to 4 cc at time of surgery, so I have a little restriction. It's not a lot, but I do feel it. I'm almost 8 weeks out and have lost 26 pounds. I find out tomorrow if I get another fill or not.
