Ack.. Nyquil is high calorie!!!

I'm sick and have been taking a lot of meds.. Nyquil, Dayquil, Robitussin, Sudafed, etc.

Boredom I suppose.. I looked up Nyquil (liquid) on Myplate.

93 calories for 2 tbsp! OMG! So I had hundreds of calories the past few days from this stuff? :) :) :):(

Are there decent alternatives? Anyone know if the gel tabs are lower calorie? I'm pretty bummed. I could have had some stocking candy for the calories I've had in these meds. :think

Hey FF,

I had a cold about 3 weeks ago and I took some musinex over the counter stuff. MAN... the cold symptoms were GONE until the meds wore off. It just dries you up real good. I have the 12 hour stuff.

It's OK. I doubt you'll gain any real weight from your meds although that does stink. I never bothered to check to see if any of my meds had calories!!!!!!!! I hope you're feeling better soon!

I can't think of the brand name, but I know there are some cough syrups made for diabetics that have no sugar and therefore are lower calorie. Just search the shelves or ask your pharmacist.

Laura, the gel tabs are probably lower calorie. I assume that the syrup has a lot of sugar to help make the medicine go down. Crap now I am gonna be singing Mary Poppins all day.
