another alcohol question

I have noticed when I am very tight if I have a drink before dinner it seems to loosen the band a little so the first bites go down a little better. Anybody else think the same way? Terry

Terry in my post op package, it stated that a glass of wine before dinner will help to relax your band and was ok. But no more than one glass!

Hi Terry it works a treat for me having a drink, i am well restricted but if i get tipsy i can actually eat quite well. without drink its a nightmare ha ha ha

I actually have noticed that alcohol seems to tighten me.

When I finally realized it, me and DH decided the alcohol must be irritating my stomach, thus making it inflamed and harder to eat.

But I've tried having a martini before dinner, and a glass of wine before dinner, and both times, it was damn near impossible to eat after that.. and it hurt pretty bad.. that burning alcohol feeling, but it gets stuck in the stoma..ow.
