hey there.

i'm a 25 yr/old female from canada, and just resently i set the date to get my lap-band! I was wonderingif there is anybody out there thats my age, that could tell me about there experience with getting there lap-band? did it work for you? what kind of medication did you take after the procedure? did it hurt? Anything you wish to share. I'd love to here from anyone.

Where are you from in Canada and who is the Dr. doing the procedure. I had mine done in January and I was back to work three days later. I took no medication except tylonal. I am having amazing result.

We do have some bandsters your age, but I guess they've all gone to bed early. LOL It's been a little while since I've seen 25 and I'm a long way from Canada, but I wanted to welcome you. Look forward to "talking" w/you here on LBT.

I am 27 and had the lap-band done in Aug of 2003. I was 26 when I had it done. I have lost 65 lbs and have another 20 to go. I love my band. I had the surgery on Wed and went back to work on Monday. I did not take any pain meds after the surgery. I was on diabetes meds and no longer take those either. Good Luck to you and a big WELCOME from TEXAS!!!
