Pre-Op Testing?

Hello lovelies 💕

I am traveling overseas to have a mini gastric bypass in November. The surgeon is asking that I have an echocardiogram, I reached out to my doctor here in the States to see about getting this done, but he thinks the surgeon is wanting an electrocardiogram. I had my mom confirm with the surgeon that he wants the echocardiogram, but my doctor here doesn’t think that is likely. Based on my research online it is the echocardiogram that is done to see how the heart is pumping blood?

What type of pre-op testing is done or have you all had done? Answers are greatly appreciated 🙏
