I have a huge question regarding hernia and scarring from sleeve. I had the sleeve in 2019. I had little to no issue, but I do have severe Gerd/reflux. I get a endoscopy every two years to watch my Barretts Esophagus. the last endo said I had a hiatal hernia, went to a surgeon who says he needed to do a bypass because there is a kink in the stomach. My gastro said to get a second opinion. I went to Doctor # 2 who said he would not do a bypass but a hernia repair with LINX. Doctor #3 who is my bariatric doctor did a barium swallow and said NO to the bypass and to go in and fix the scarring which developed because of the sleeve. Said bypass would be the last resort. He also said I would have Barret's for the rest of my life. Some have said it reversible in the past. ANYONE with these issues? Just so confused why one doctor says one thing and the others said something opposite. Also doctor #3 said he would never use linx for a hernia! OMG the confusion.
