Surgery is tomorrow

Hello everyone,

This is my first post. I am having gastric bypass surgery tomorrow 10/19/22 and I am so nervous and excited. I can't believe that the day is almost here. I have been researching WLS for about 5 years and finally started the process about 6 months ago. I am mostly nervous about the mental challenges I will face after the surgery. Any tips for a newbie?

Do NOT compare yourself to others. Everything will be different from your recovery to fluids to weight loss and stalls. Just trust the process and you will lose weight.

Be sure to walk as much as you are able after surgery to help with gas pain. Don't buy too many new clothes initially because you'll just have to replace them.

And as stated above, trust the process. Good luck!
