Has anyone experienced flushed, warm skin on their upper and lower arms after WLS? It goes away after a while. I am about 6 days post-op and  I have spoken to the doctor who does not seem concerned. I’m concerned!

Can't say I have ever heard of this. I didn't experience it.

It’s extremely unnerving! Almost like hot flashes, but on the arms.

Yea, I bet. Did you try to google it and see if anything came up? I google everything, sometimes it is a bad thing. haha

Are you taking or being given any vitamin supplements? Flush is very common with Niacin (B3).

I am taking a multivitamin and calcium.

Yes, I googled it. It could be something called “sleeve blush” which happens after WLS. The kicker is, it says it should last 24-48 hours ?

Maybe that is why your surgeon wasn't concerned. If it doesn't subside soon, give them another call.
