Pureed foods

Hey!

I'm 4 days post op and trying to imagine whay pureed food is gonna feel like. I'm a vegetarian. I'm liking the idea of fat free refried beans with salsa but im also terrified to eat food again. I don't want to throw up or anything.

Can anyone suggest vegetarian safe pureed foods for their new stomachs?

So far I'm thinking refried beans, egg Salad pureed, hummus, tomato soup, red pepper soup, pureed broccoli cheddar, Silken tofu pudding....I would add protein powder to some of these too..

What else sounds good or worked for you?

sounds like you have some good ideas there...

You said hummus. I'm saying it again. I'm eating a lot of hummus at the moment which I make myself and add different things to, to keep it interesting. I also have this peanut butter powder which is weird but addictive and 90% fat free apparently.

Add nutritional yeast to your soups. It's delicious and has a ton of protein.

Approved on my plan: lentil or black bean soup (pureed in the blender), scrambled eggs, Greek yogurt (no fruit bits), small-curd cottage cheese, mashed banana or cooked carrots with protein powder. All in pea-sized bites chewed to applesauce consistency.

Wow they're really taking no chances are they? Pea-sized bites?

Sounds like you've got a lot of good soft/pureed vegetarian ideas there. Congratulations on your WLS and good luck on your journey.
