Love this site!

Hello everyone, I just wanted to say what a great information site this is!! I was referred by local support group and really have learned a lot. I myself was banded on 11/27 by Dr. Donald Waldrep in Roseville, CA. I had a tough time choosing the band vs. gastric bypass but I feel as though I have made the right choice. I have learned a lot about myself through this whole experience. Reading the various threads on this site has helped me to understand the different phases and that I am not alone in this! Thank you everyone, for being so open and honest about your individual experiences. You're really providing a great service to those who are in the early stages and feeling alone.

Welcome, Becky. I love this site too. You tend to hear it all...the good, the bad and the ugly. I have been very lucky with my weight loss to date. I feel at times that I had a brain transplant because I see myself making much better food decisions and that makes me very happy. I look at pictures of myself from before and now and I want to cry. First I want to cry because of how I used to look and then I want to cry because I can't believe the difference. I have so much more confidence now and I feel so much better about myself. I wish you the very best of luck with your band. Remember...it's not a miracle and it's not going to work overnight. It's a tool that you have to work with...together, the two of you can do it. My band and I make a great team and I am sure that you and your band will do the same. :whoo:
