Anyone got approved for a revision because of a dilated sleeve? Original surgery in 2012. Gained all weight back. Upper GI shows massively dilated sleeve, hiatal hernia and I have grade B esophagitis but biopsies are negative for inflammation.

Besides having gained weight back, what other symptoms did you have? I have only gained about 10 lbs back. But I feel like the acid reflux is getting so much worse. I DO NOT want to resort to PPIs!

Acid reflux/ heartburn. I choke on acid at night. I’ve been on a PPI for years. If I forget a dose I wake up choking on acid.

My endoscopy shows erosion grade B esophagitis but the biopsies show no information (how I have no clue!) and my upper GI shows a dilated sleeve. The frustrating thing is the radiologist put I have “normal appearing stomach” because my sleeve is stretched to a normal stomach size but it’s NOT normal for someone with a sleeve. So my surgeon is fighting for the radiologist to amend his reading of the scans. It’s very clear it’s stretched big time.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
