May Surgeries - check in!

  • Popular Post

Looking for other May 2021 folks to share the journey with! I'm scheduled for May 5th and start my liquid diet in just a few days. Anyone else on/around the same time? What kind of pre-op diet do you have? I admit I'm super nervous about how I'm going to manage the next couple of weeks and keep up my energy at work.

JUST realized my 1st cycle day is surgery day ?‍♀️ NOT looking forward to that As I usually have SEVERE cramps. I was looking at other people's posts about it and they've said there is a lot of support during the hospital stay when you're on your period. I hope so!!!

Hope it goes well for you and it's not too bad.

Well, at least you'll get pain meds. That's something to look forward to with bad cramps ;-)

I just had my pre-op appointment and pre-op diet starts tomorrow. I can’t believe my surgery is 2 weeks from tomorrow! I feel like the last part of this process has gone by so fast, I’m excited and a bit freaked out!

Hey y’all I literally just started my 2 week pre op diet today and I’m already experiencing some head hunger lol I’m super excited and nervous. I saw some ladies talking about their cycles and I was scared on that because mines supposed to start a few days before my surgery! Any tips? Lol

Nice! I started mine yesterday as the surgeon's office wanted 14 full weeks of liquid + the day before surgery clear liquids. Yeesh!

The only thing I'm struggling with is caffeine withdrawal! I was a HUGE fan of caffeine - I've had a foggy headache since this weekend when I quit cold turkey :(

How is yours going? Can you have solids?

I was not looking forward to this liquid diet lol I’ma huge carb lover unfortunately for me. Only solid I can have is a hard boiled egg!! My mind woke up hungrier than ever today. & I felt that on the caffeine cause a coffee a day keeps the headaches away ?

It's weird going into the weeks leading up to surgery. I still have my pre-op appointment with my primary care doctor. That's the last thing I have to do. It's going quickly now!

I'm hoping the brain fogginess lets up soon.

I had the same issue with caffeine withdrawal. I had some green tea the first day, but it didn't help at all. I broke down and had a half cup on day 3 because I had such a bad headache, but I've been without since then and feeling a lot better. Hang it there!
