When you are at an eating (chewing) stage it would probably be OK, aside from the fact grapes have a fair amount of sugar. Be sure to chew extremely well, because the skins may ball up and plug things.

It really depends on your surgeons guidelines. My surgeon said no to grapes because of high sugar content, but every surgeon is different.

I didn't eat grapes until I was in maintenance because of the sugar content.
