Golf- When did you start back post op?

I’m about 4 weeks post op from my bypass surgery. Down a total of 47lbs since pre-op diet and feeling great. My doc said I could start swinging a club at 4-6 weeks so I’m itching to start.

Did anyone have any challenges to be aware of? I’m healing and feeling well but cautiously optimistic on adding golf. Love to hear any feedback. Thanks!

I think I golfed for the first time 5-6 weeks post? Nothing too surprising, I was quite exhausted, and didn't play the whole 18. Pretty much what you'd expect having had recent surgery and while consuming very few calories.

Thanks. I figured fatigue would play in to it. I’ve been walking 4-5 miles daily to build stamina so hopefully that helps.

Did you have any incision or abdominal pain? I think that’s my biggest concern. I’m healing good and don’t want to mess myself up.

I didn't. But I had almost no abdominal pain from the surgery whatsoever.
