HI all,

I am scheduled for gastric bypass on July 17th. I had the sleeve done in 2013 and i have gained it all back, i feel like such a loser, a failure and just sad. I am excited for this new chapter though but for some reason I am terrified about this recovery. My surgeon says I can be back at work in a week (i work in an office). Can anyone tell me about their recovery? I am looking for support because I will not fail. Also, the pre-op diet its horrible. I am struggling with energy, I have a 3 year old that does not care about my fatigued life. LOL. thank you to anyone who reaches out.

Hi there. I am in the same situation but without any kids..lol I gained the weight back after a sleeve. I have to admit that the stomach pouch dilated causing an increase in appetite. I also was struggling with stress since I had two jobs and school. Now more than ever I feel I will be a success. My surgeon is meeting with me tomorrow to discuss the date and next steps. Hopefully is this month's end or August. How long in advance that provided you with the date. Any pre-op steps?
