Hi, im scheduled for a laparoscopic Gastric Bypass May 31st, anyone else scheduled that day? Any input as to what to pack for hospital and dos and donts while in hospital would be appreciated. Thank you in advance

    Hi! Congratulations on your upcoming surgery! I'm 7 weeks out from my RNY gastric bypass. You don't need too much on the hospital. Chap stick, phone charger, tablet and charger if you have one. A pillow for the ride home. The bumps in the road will hurt.

    Oh, while you're in the hospital make sure you walk, walk, walk. It will make you feel better and get the gas out. Also, after the first day, they will make you sip fluids as much as you can.
