Anyone else with Hypothyroid?

hello! Anyone out there like me with Hypothyroidism? How has the surgery affected weight loss? Is it normal? Energy levels?

I'm still taking Synthroid 75mcg for my symptoms but I want to know if it gets easier and if the hormones get under control. I'm only 12 days out from bypass but I wanted to see if anyone out here was further along and how their body is adjusting.

I think many of us are. My TSH is normalizing, as has my Free T3 and Free T4. YMMV...

  • Before my surgery I was taking 150mcg of Synthroid. As I lost weight, my physician had to reduce my dosage. I'm taking 112 now. Make sure you keep getting your blood work!

I have Hashimoto's thyroiditis. Four-five generations of females in my family have had it. Have you ever been tested for antibodies? (Hashimoto's is the most common cause of hypothyroidism is the US.)

I wonder if this be what is causing all thesenodules to show up in my Thyroid? I know my ENT and PCP both have fondled my neck like they felt a theraputic strangling. would do me a world of goodm Now they are finding something? Was it truly there all the time or did the stress of surgery bring it out? IDK- Do You?
