Weight Gain B4 surgery.

Hi, I am scheduled to have my surgery on May 1, 2019. I was suppose to have it back in January, but I had palpitations. That lead to tons of test and procedures. Found out everything is fine. So it will be 11 months in May since I had my first appointment with my surgeon. I have noticed my jeans got tight around my stomach. I know I have gained weight, but I'm worried about what's gonna happen at my last pre OP class. Has anyone else gained weight before surgery? Can anyone tell me what's going to happen at the last pre OP class? I'm really nervous!! Thank you !

I dont eat any sugary foods or drinks. My problem is I always feel hungry.

Yes, I gained 8 pounds. He made me do a one week pre-op diet.

I think most people have to do at least a 2 week liver shrink diet. So perhaps you will lose what you gained.i have gain almost 10 lbs since.ive been.in this process so mad

I gained a couple of pounds pre op....I didn’t have to go on any sort of liquid diet before surgery..I just had to sign something saying I understand I’ve gained weight

Thank you all. I have to do a 2 week liver reduction diet, that starts on April 17th.

If make sure you’re getting in all yourmprotein. That will help with hunger

I had to do the 2 week liver shrink preop so the little bit of weight gain went away real fast.
