Robotic gastric sleeve

Recommended Posts

Did anyone else have robotic surgery? Mine was on 3-11-19. If so, how are you doing after having it done.

I had mine on March 18th, 2019. I am doing pretty good so far. The nausea the first day or 2 after surgery was HORRIBLE! It did get better though. Only real problems I am having right now is eating/drinking enough Water. I can only tolerate liquids right now and sometimes even that's hard to keep down.

My was on 2/19, and I am doing great. Very little post-op pain, and what I did have was relieved by walking. I didn't use any pain pills after the first day post -op, just Tylenol. No nausea or vomiting. I had diarrhea for the first week until my Dr. took me off the laxative and stool softener. I lost about 1 or 2 pounds a day the first month, but had a stall weeks 5 and 6. Back to loosing 1 pound a day by end of week 6.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
