Stomach/intestines connection size issue?

So I'm just barely 2 weeks post op, so hopefully this is a temporary thing. As the day progresses, I feel like my system is continually filling without draining fast enough. Having just barely 2 oz of pureed food or 8 oz of fluid in one hour makes me feel pretty full and as the day progresses I can intake less and less fluid. When I spoke with the Dr about this he said that it may be normal part of the healing process or SOMETIMES the new connection from stomach to intestines may not be large enough. They will take an x-ray at 6 weeks if I'm still having the issue and it may require surgery. I've never heard of this and wondering if anyone has had this done?
