I'm 51 years old, I'm 5'9, I weigh 252 lbs., my bmi 38.19, I have sleep apena, GERD and I have a Hiatal Hernia. I just finished my first nutrition class, so I'm still in the early stages. What I would like to know if there is anyone with some the same diagnosis that have and will gastric bypass surgery help me?

RNY Gastric bypass surgery should help with GERD and sleep apnea. It does not fix a hiatal hernia. That will need a separate operation to correct. But I suspect that operation may be done at the same time as the gastric bypass surgery.
