Cholesterol increase after surgery??

My cholesterol was a bit high prior to weight loss surgery. I’m down 70 pounds and had some blood work done a couple of weeks ago. My primary doctor was very surprised to see my cholesterol has significantly increased.

Anyone else have this issue or know why it could have happened? I was hoping to have the opposite effect after WLS

Do you know the levels of the various components? HDL, LDL, triglicerides?
