Post Surgery

I had the gastric bypass surgery on 01-23 so I’m in the liquid and purée stage. Any tips on how to get all my ounces of liquid and protein in. I literally eat or
Drink like 2 bites and I’m super full.

Try to use small medicine cups. They worked for me pretty well Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

  • I still use medicine cups, try to sip down 2 oz every 15 minutes, that makes 8,oz an hour, do that for 8 hours and you have your 64 oz in fairly easily. ?

popsicles, broth, flavored water all worked for me. Good luck - the first month is tough but it gets better. Set a reminder to sip your liquids if needed.

Just keep sipping. Like GettinSkinnywithit said, set reminders. I had them on my phone and my computer at work so every 10min I'd take a sip. It took all day but it got easier by the end of the third week. Good luck!

Medicine cups definitely work, but they're not convenient. I started using a graduated water bottle and literally setting a reminder every 15 minutes on my watch. It's OCD-ish but it works. Cold liquids have been very difficult for me, but room temperature tap water isn't too much trouble.
