Pregnancy after wls

Hi everyone.

I'm 4 months pregnant and I had my bypass on Nov 20th and it turns out I was a month pregnant when they did my surgery. I'm just wondering if any ladies were pregnant right after surgery? And how was the pregnancy

  • Well congratulations to you, there have been others, I'm sure they will weigh in soon, saw someone just about a week ago, so I'm sure she'll find you. Are you hoping for a little boy or girl? I'm sure

  • They didn’t make you take a pregnancy test???

Thanks it's been so hard I've had serve morning sickness. I've lost 55 pounds already. My starting weight was 280. I'm hoping for a little girl since I already have a son. Thank you.

I'm sure between your OB and Bariatric surgeon they'll they'lovely you get the proper nourishment for both of you, it's a little more difficult, that's why they often say wait 18 months so you fully recover, but it is what it is, and God just may have planned this special blessing for you! Hope to be updated as you progress along, God Bless you and the Little One,in the meantime!

That was my thought! They make you do one the morning of surgery to make sure you aren't pregnant before going under. Congratulations to you! I am excited for your journey.. but at the same time a little shocked they didn't check!

It was literally the first they made me do on surgery day. Called me back and handed me the cup

Maybe the HCG levels were not high enough to detect yet! But that can be scary!

I think so cuz they say they did do the pregnancy test but I would think being 1 month it would show. But only God knows I get so depressed.
