Cold food

I'm entering into soft foods (hallelujah! Never thought scrambled egg could taste so good!). Anyway, I'm trying to follow doctor's orders and take 20-30 minutes to eat, but by the time the tiny portion has been sitting there for 10 minutes, it is cold.

Anyone have suggestions other than cottage cheese or egg salad for soft foods that are already cold?

I also just bought this warming plate thing on amazon. I'm hoping that it'll keep my plate warm so my food stays warm. If your bowls/plates are small enough, some people suggested using a mug warmer - they're just too small for the salad plates I use.
