SAXENDA RESULTS

For those of you who have tried saxenda, what were your results? How many pounds did you lose and over what period of time?

I’ve heard there can be some quick results and then it tapers off. Has this been your experience as well?

Was anybody concerned about the long-term side effects?

I took Saxenda for six months pre-surgery. It helped me to lose 33 pounds before the procedure. Well, at least 25 of that. The last 8 were lost in the two week liquid pre-op diet. I was happy with Saxenda and didn't have side effects but of course I hated the injections and worried about long term negative effects. I stopped using it the week before surgery.

I used saxenda for six months and saw no change. It made me nauseous the first day and then for the rest of the six months it felt like I wasn’t using it. I had appointments with my doctor to ensure I was doing it right and an appointment with an “injection educator” to check I was injecting it properly. But it didn’t do anything for me except cost a lot of money.

It did absolutely nothing for me.

I'm also in the it didn't work for me camp. But there are several folks in my weight loss support group who have used it and gotten great results.

It’s working for me. 11kg (24.2 lbs) in 2 months.
