    Yes, my incisions were closed with staples. It doesn't hurt to have them removed unless they're kept in too long. Maybe a little tweak, but nothing major. If you tend to be more sensitive than average

Yes, my incisions were closed with staples. It doesn't hurt to have them removed unless they're kept in too long. Maybe a little tweak, but nothing major. If you tend to be more sensitive than average, take a couple Tylenol before you go to the doc.

Gotcha! What were their reasons for using staples? Years ago I had a small surgery in a weird area. The staples hurt when they were removed but it was in an odd area.

I asked why and was told that the most likely reason was time. If a surgeon intends to super glue the skin, he puts in two layers of the dissolving stitches underneath. If he uses staples to close, he puts in just one layer of dissolving stitches. Of course, there are also people who are allergic to super glue
