Well Hello!

Hi!

I am having my lap band placed at CMH in Ventura, CA on November 20th. Sometimes I think I may have been a bit foolish for scheduling the surgery before the holidays. You know...temptation and all, but I am determined to make a go of it. Dr Helmuth Billy is going to do my surgery and I hear that he is the leading bariatric surgery doc in this area. I am an RN and Nursing Supervisor at our local hospital in Ojai. I am hoping to find a "Buddy" for this journey.

Welcome!

I hope all goes well with your surgery! You must be getting so excited now! I was banded in December last year. I think it was a good thing to have it done at that time for two reasons. First, it matched up well with the time off I already had scheduled so I didn't need to use much sick time and having the surgery around the holidays kept me from gaining even more weight!

Be sure to follow all of your doctor's instructions after surgery to make sure you heal well!

Good luck!
