Had my sleeve done three weeks ago today. I’m down 16 pounds since the surgery and 31 pounds since the pre-op diet. I’m happy with the results but I did step in the scale this morning hoping to see lower numbers. I’m trying to only weigh myself once a week. I can’t wait to start working out again. I do think that’ll help.
Drinking has gotten much easier and I’m so happy to eat solid foods again. I did try some deli turkey yesterday and that didn’t go so well! I’ve made some delicious soups and chicken chili with lots of beans. All of it went down well. My nutritionist suggested I write down what I’m eating with the amount of protein so I can keep track. I’m going to start doing that as I think it’ll be helpful to keep me accountable.
A lot of folks have said they can only take a few bites and they feel so full. I haven’t experienced that. I find myself having to learn what satisfied feels like. Not a feeling I’m used to.
Anyway, I hope everyone’s doing well on their journey!
