Was sleeved in July, but just wanted to tell you all that you got this. It's going to be rough at first but when those times come just remember that the recovery process is only temporary and when you

October 3rd! I'm nervous! And also excited! Btw, thanks for labeling this thread "2018." There are two other October threads that don't have the year marked, and I really hope some of us stay in

I've started a list to help people find their surgery buddies. This is supposed to just be sleevers, but I bet some others snuck on. It's supposed to be all the October sleevers, but I'm 100% sure I m

Try the vitamin patches instead of the pills. No nausea!

My team doesn't support their use, and I haven't seen any scientific evidence that they work. (I mean, I'm not saying "I don't use them and you shouldn't either," because some people on here do use them and, presumably, still have perfectly fine numbers when they do their blood tests. I'm just saying that I, personally, am uncomfortable with them, in part because my team is opposed to their use.)

Ahhh. Lots of different advice. They were listed as an option in my instructions so I jumped on it. Not a big fan of pills. I haven't had any post-op tests yet so time will tell.

If your team is cool with it, don't let me talk you out of it! You can always change it up if your labs come back short on something. ❤️

Anyone due for surgery in December? It’s really right around the corner. I’m excited and scared since I will be having my gallbladder taken out as well ??‍♀️

Hello All. I'm new to the forum but am having the sleeve on Monday 10/22. Excited and nervous. I've followed my pre-op diet to the letter and have lost 11 pounds, so that's nice. I have a question that really can't be asked delicately, so here goes. Has anyone else experienced daily diarrhea with their low carb, high protein pre-op diet? My intestines don't seem to like me much right now, bit otherwise I'm doing great. Not nearly as hungry as I thought I'd be, which is nice. Well, just wondering. Wish me luck, and thanks to everyone for sharing their stories. It has helped me feel much more prepared.

Hi Kathy, I had the same experience with the 2 week liquid diet. I had diarrhea daily, especially the entire 2nd week. I am 3 days post op and still have daily diarrhea. Not sure if that's normal or not but I had same experience as you pre op.

I was sleeved on October 10th and it’s rough. I’m barely eating or drinking. I have really bad acid reflux which I’m taking meds for. Does it get better? I’m hungry but my sleeve won’t let me be great ?

Is anyone else experiencing muscle jumps while sleeping? It feels almost like a jolt, and I’m having it in my arms, legs, abdomen but never all at one time.
How are your Magnesium and B vitamin levels?
I have had some premier protein and bone broth with as much water as I can sip in a day. I started taking my vitamins again as of yesterday. Flinstones x2 day, liquid calcium 2x day, b12 and b50 b complex once a day, plus my levothyroxine. I was thinking it might have something to do with the b vitamins. ?? We’ll see if anything changes today. (Fingers crossed). It’s been difficult for me to rest.
Oh and I’ve added some pink Himalayan sea salt to the broth because it has magnesium ^^
Good deal, I hope it does help! Life is too short to be miserable!

I’m scheduled for October 28!!!

Yay! Good luck!

Still scheduled for the 29th. Started my liquid diet today. TMI ALERT: And, of course, I also am starting my period. Which means I started my day with a migraine and will likely want ALL of the food. Just my luck.

Still thinking about whether I really want to go through with this. Talking to my therapist tomorrow and need to make a decision. I'll do the liquid diet until I decide for sure. In the meantime, I'm stocking up on various protein powders, etc.

Went to the hospital's support group last night and it was REALLY stressful. Lots of people talking over each other at the same time, lots of chaos. It just isn't well run. I'm required to go, but it was so stressful (not even the stuff people were saying, but just the noise and having 10-15 people all answering anyone's question at once). Made me nauseous just being there.
