Dr. Coker- John Hopkins

Dr. Coker is amazing. She is a no nonsense surgeon and will definitely push your date back if you gained weight or have been sick. She will also require you to lose weight even if you gained one pound during your time with her. She has your best intentions at heart. She isn’t the most soothing person but her team treated me so well. I absolutely love that I was fortunate enough to have my procedure done at this hospital. The staff was so personable and patient. I would do this process over again with them at John Hopkins.

How long did take the staff to submit your paperwork to the insurance company? I've been waiting several days and haven't heard anything back from the staff :-(

I wasn’t with John Hopkins through the whole process. I started out with Dr. sofronski(sp?). I did my six months with him and everything else was done with Dr.Coker. My first surgery date got pushed back due to my insurance changing. It got pushed back again because I had a bad stomach bug. When they called me the third time she had already sent the paperwork through and it got approved. They are great at communicating and are very organized! Maybe try contacting them? I usually deal with Marie Day, who is Dr. Coker’s assistant.

Ok thanks!! I'm just going on vacation next week and want to make sure insurance has everything they need. Tomorrow will be a week since my last weigh in so I'll ping them again!

Have you had your surgery yet?

Congratulations@kaleeshab on your surgery, a week from tomorrow I have mine, I am excited and hopeful. for my future,
