Hello everyone. My name is Heather and I will be getting the lap band after the new year when my new insurance goes into effect. :whoo: I have been overweight my entire life. :help: I am 30 years old, married with 4 children-3 girls and 1 boy. I look forward to the days ahead when I will be able to do outdoor activities with my children again. :clap2:

Good luck to you. I have 4 boys and I've always had to live with the fact that they've been teased sometime about their fat mom. In fact when my youngest started 6th grade, he didn't want to be seen with me at his school at all. It made my heart just ache. Fortunately he learn to deal with it, but what's even better is that I finally was able to get banded and I won't have that problem anymore. They've never had a mother that hasn't been fat. I'm looking forward to doing so much more with them.

Welcome Heather! I have 2 girls and honestly I did this for them. They hated having a fat mommy and me not being able to go out with them. The surgeryhas paid off big time! I am very happy. Good luck to you!
