Hello to all - singer here

:) Hi, I'm a female in my mid-fifties, in NNJ. I'm diabetic but otherwise doing ok, preparing for banding in early January. Was told by my Dr. to get my fasting sugars in good control, so I'm working on that.

I'm a classical singer and am concerned about recovery time.

I'd love to hear from any singers on this site as to how long it was before you could begin performing again.

Thanks so much and God Bless in your journey through this.

Welcome pc201!

I'm a singer too. I'm not a classical singer, but I sing at church and at community events. I love to sing and I was able to sing at church 2 weeks after my surgery. Your abdominal muscles will be sore at first, I noticed I was able to take big breaths and hold them close to my 2 week post-op. Congratulations and good luck in your lap band journey!
